Connect your Stripe account to accept payments
Stripe Connect Setup
Booqd uses Stripe Connect to process payments securely. You need to connect a Stripe account to accept membership payments from your clients.
Navigate to Payments
Go to Settings > Payments in your workspace.
Click Connect Stripe
Click the Connect with Stripe button to start the setup process.
Complete Stripe onboarding
You will be redirected to Stripe to create or connect your account. Fill in your business details, bank information, and identity verification.
Return to Booqd
After completing Stripe setup, you will be redirected back to Booqd. Your payment integration is now active.
What Happens Next
Clients can purchase memberships and pay for drop-in sessions using credit cards.
Payments are processed by Stripe and deposited to your bank account.
Stripe handles all compliance, refunds, and payment disputes.
You can view transaction details in both Booqd and the Stripe dashboard.
How Payments Are Split
Booqd uses Stripe Destination Charges which means payments are collected by Booqd and automatically transferred to your Stripe account. A small platform fee is deducted from each payment.
Currency Handling
Booqd supports multiple currencies. Prices for memberships and services are set in your workspace currency. The system automatically handles zero-decimal currencies (like HUF, JPY) where there are no fractional units â so 5000 HUF means 5000, not 50.00.
Refunds
When you issue a refund, the platform fee portion is also reversed. The refunded amount goes back to the client, and the corresponding transfer to your account is reversed by Stripe. Full and partial refunds are both supported.
