Language Settings

Booqd is available in English and Hungarian (Magyar). You can switch the interface language at any time, and your preference will be remembered across sessions.

Available Languages

Full interface and notifications in English. This is the default language for new accounts.

Magyar (Hungarian)

Full interface and notifications in Hungarian. Ideal for Hungarian-speaking users and workspaces.

What Gets Translated

When you switch languages, the following elements update to your chosen language:

All UI text — Buttons, labels, menus, headers, and descriptions throughout the app.

System notifications — Booking confirmations, reminders, cancellation alerts, and other system-generated notifications.

▮

Email notifications — All automated emails from Booqd (booking confirmations, reminders, membership updates) are sent in your selected language.

Help articles — The documentation and support center content is available in both languages.

▮

Error messages — Form validation messages and error descriptions.

▮

Date and time formats — Dates adapt to locale conventions (e.g., day/month vs. month/day).

What Does NOT Change

User-generated content stays in its original language regardless of your setting. This includes session names, class descriptions, workspace names, instructor bios, and messages sent by other users. These are written by workspace owners and are not automatically translated.

Changing Language on Web

Locate the language switcher

In the sidebar at the bottom, you will find a language toggle (showing "EN" or "HU") next to the theme toggle.

Click the language indicator

Click the language code to switch between EN (English) and HU (Hungarian).

Interface updates instantly

The entire interface reloads in the selected language. Your preference is saved to your account.

Changing Language on Mobile

Open Settings

Tap the Settings tab from the bottom navigation bar.

Go to Language

Tap Language in the settings list.

Select your language

Choose English or Magyar from the available options. The app will refresh with the new language immediately.

How Language Affects Notifications

Your language setting determines the language of all automated communications from Booqd:

If you change your language setting, all future email notifications will be sent in the new language. Previously sent emails will remain in the language they were originally sent in.

For Workspace Owners

If your members speak different languages, consider writing your session names and descriptions in the language most of your members understand. Booqd sends system notifications in each member's own language preference, but your custom content appears as-is.

Yes. Your language preference is stored on your account, so it applies on both web and mobile once you are signed in.

Currently, the language setting applies to both the interface and all automated communications. You cannot set them separately.
