Appearance Settings

Booqd supports three appearance modes so you can choose the look that is most comfortable for you. Whether you prefer a bright interface during the day, a dark one at night, or an automatic switch that follows your device, Booqd has you covered.

Light Mode

Clean, bright interface with a light gray background and dark text. Great for well-lit environments.

Dark Mode

Sleek, dark interface with a near-black background and neon green accents. Ideal for low-light settings and reducing eye strain.

Automatically matches your operating system's theme. Switches between light and dark as your device does.

What Changes Between Modes

Switching the appearance mode updates the entire Booqd interface consistently. Here is what changes:

Changing Appearance on Web

Locate the theme toggle

In the sidebar at the bottom, you will find a sun/moon icon next to the language switcher.

Click the toggle

Clicking the icon cycles through the available modes: Light → Dark → System.

See the change instantly

The interface updates immediately. Your preference is saved and will persist across sessions.

Changing Appearance on Mobile

Open Settings

Tap the Settings tab from the bottom navigation bar.

Go to Appearance

Tap Appearance in the settings list.

Select your preferred mode

Choose Light, Dark, or System from the options. The change takes effect immediately.

Using System mode is recommended for most users. It automatically switches to dark mode at night and light mode during the day, following your device's schedule. On iOS, you can configure this in Settings > Display & Brightness. On Android, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme.

Designed for Both Modes

Booqd's interface is designed from the ground up for both light and dark mode. Every component, chart, and illustration has been crafted to look great regardless of which mode you use — not just a color inversion.

Common Questions

Currently, appearance settings are stored per device. Changing to dark mode on your phone will not affect the web app on your computer.

Booqd does not have a built-in schedule, but selecting System mode will follow your operating system's dark mode schedule. Most devices allow you to set automatic switching times.
