Understanding Memberships

Memberships (also called passes or plans) give you access to book classes at a workspace. Each workspace creates their own membership types with different benefits and pricing.

How Memberships Work

When you purchase a membership, you receive access to book classes based on the membership type. Each workspace creates their own membership types with different constraints and pricing.

Membership Constraint Types

Booqd supports three different constraint types for memberships:

The three membership constraint types
TypeHow It WorksExample
Occasions (Credit-Based)Fixed number of session credits. Each booking uses one credit. When all credits are used, the membership becomes exhausted.10-Class Pass: 10 sessions within 60 days
Time-BasedUnlimited bookings within a time period. No credit limit — book as many sessions as you want until the membership expires.Monthly Unlimited: Unlimited sessions for 30 days
CombinedBoth a credit limit AND a time limit. The membership ends when either limit is reached — whichever comes first.20 sessions within 90 days

Service Type Restrictions

Some memberships are restricted to specific service types. For example, a "Yoga Pass" may only allow booking yoga classes, not personal training sessions. When browsing classes, the system automatically shows whether your membership is valid for each class type.

â„šī¸
If a membership has service type restrictions, you will see which services are included when viewing the membership details. Classes not covered by your membership will require a separate membership or drop-in payment.

Membership Status Lifecycle

You buy the membership and it becomes Active
2

❌

âš ī¸
For combined memberships, the membership becomes invalid when EITHER the time expires OR the credits run out — whichever happens first. Keep an eye on both your remaining credits and expiry date.
