Managing Sessions on Mobile

Create, edit, and manage sessions from the mobile app. Use the planner view, mark attendance, and keep your schedule organized.

Managing Sessions on Mobile

The Sessions tab is your command center for scheduling. From here you can view all upcoming and past sessions, switch between list and planner views, create new sessions, and track attendance — all optimized for quick use on your phone.

List View vs. Planner View

The Sessions tab offers two ways to view your schedule. You can toggle between them using the view switcher at the top of the screen.

Choose the view that best fits your workflow. Your preference is saved automatically.

Week Date Picker

In planner view, a horizontal date picker sits at the top of the screen. Swipe left or right to navigate between weeks, or tap a specific date to jump to it. The current day is highlighted so you always know where you are.

Session Cards

Each session is displayed as a card with key information at a glance. Cards are color-coded by service type so you can quickly distinguish between different classes.

Blocked Time Blocks

If you have connected a Google or Apple calendar, blocked time periods appear as grayed-out blocks in the planner view. These represent events from your external calendar and help you avoid scheduling conflicts.

â„šī¸
Blocked time blocks are read-only on mobile. To manage your calendar integration, go to Settings > Calendar Settings.

Creating a New Session

You can create a session from the Sessions tab by tapping the + button. The creation form walks you through all the required details.

1

Select service type

Choose from your configured service types. This determines the default color, duration, and pricing.

2

Set name and description

Give the session a name (pre-filled from the service type) and optionally add a description for attendees.

3

Pick date and time

Use the date picker and time selectors to set when the session starts and ends.

4

Set capacity

Define the maximum number of participants. Leave it open for unlimited capacity.

5

Choose location

Select from your configured locations or leave blank for online sessions.

6

Set visibility

Choose whether the session is visible to all members or only to specific groups.

7

Assign instructor

If you have multiple instructors, pick who will lead the session. Defaults to you.

8

Configure recurrence (optional)

Toggle on recurring to create a series of sessions — daily, weekly, or custom patterns.

✅
Creating a recurring session saves significant time. Set it once and Booqd generates all future occurrences automatically.

Editing and Deleting Sessions

Tap on any session card to open its detail view. From there you can edit any field, or delete the session entirely. For recurring sessions, you'll be asked whether to edit just this occurrence or all future occurrences.

▮

Edit — change time, capacity, location, instructor, or any other detail.

▮

Delete single — removes only this specific session.

▮

Delete all future — removes this and all upcoming sessions in the recurring series.

âš ī¸
Deleting a session with existing bookings will automatically cancel those bookings and notify the affected members.

Marking Attendance

From a session's detail view, you can see the list of booked attendees and mark their attendance status.

1

Open the session

Tap on a session card to view its details.

2

View attendees

Scroll to the attendees section to see everyone who has booked.

3

Mark attendance

Tap the checkbox next to each attendee to mark them as attended. Tap again to mark as no-show.

4

Confirm

Attendance is saved automatically as you mark each person.

Planner Preferences

Your planner settings are saved locally on your device. When you switch between list and planner view or change the number of visible days (2-7), the app remembers your choice for next time.

✅
On smaller phone screens, a 2-3 day planner view works best. Use 5-7 days on tablets for a full weekly overview.
