Guest Bookings

Guest bookings allow people to book appointments without creating a Booqd account. This is perfect for attracting new clients who discover you through your public schedule page.

How It Works

Guest Visits
A potential client finds your public booking page

Books Slot
They select a service, instructor, time, and enter their details

Token Created
A unique booking token is generated for the guest

Approval
If required, you approve or reject from the dashboard

Confirmed
The booking is confirmed and both parties are notified

Enabling Guest Booking

Guest booking is configured in the Flexible Booking Settings page. You need to enable both Flexible Booking and Allow Guest Booking. Optionally enable Require Approval to review each guest booking before confirmation.

Managing Guest Bookings

Open Guest Bookings

Navigate to Guest Bookings in the sidebar under Teaching.

Filter by Status

Use the filter tabs to view Pending Approval, Confirmed, or Cancelled bookings.

Approve or Reject

For pending bookings, click Approve to confirm or Reject to decline. You can provide a reason when rejecting.

Guest Booking Statuses

Pending Approval
Waiting for admin to approve or reject

Confirmed
Approved and scheduled — appointment will take place

Cancelled
Rejected by admin or cancelled by guest
✅
If you do not enable "Require Approval", guest bookings are automatically confirmed. This provides a faster experience for clients but gives you less control.

Guest Booking Tokens

Each guest booking receives a unique token that the guest can use to view their booking status or cancel it. The token is valid for 7 days.
